THE BEAR AND THE HARE!

It was coming to the end of summer, when bear and hare were strolling through the woods towards the huge Christmas tree. Bear was giant and slow but hare was tiny and agile. Suddenly the snow flakes floated to the ground – winter had begun. Bear looked up,softly a single snow flake floated down and landed on bear’s nose. Bear and hare both new what was coming. Hare’s smile slowly turned upside down:his heart thumping: tears turning to icicles. He looked down at the floor and they carried on walking. They finally reached the huge Christmas tree, witch was decorated with anything you could imagine(decoration wise) then hare smiled with a heavy heart as he remembered it would be another lonely Christmas.

They came to the top of the snowy hill near the tree. Bear started to turn around , then out of the blue hare started hopping around like his tail was on fire. He told bear that he didn’t have to go into hibernation. This could be the Christmas he wouldn’t miss. But bear didn’t answer and in the matter of just moments bear had almost completely dispersed into the woods. He walked across the fallen tree that went over the river and into his cave.

Weeks went passed and finally Christmas eve came around hare ran quietly to bears cave. It was rosy red with a light green bow. Early the next morning hare still felt lonely. Although  he was surrounded by animals it wasnt the same without bear. Suddenly all the animals peered behind hare. He turned. It was bear. He was staring at the huge Christmas tree as day light shone on him. He hopped quickly and jumped on bear’s back. Together they walked over.

But the animals weren’t sure how bear got up. So hare told them that how his gift to bear was the gift of time. Bear thanked him. He said that now he could enjoy Christmas every year.

100 word challenge how could something so tiny…

How could something so tiny be so strong and devastating. I woke up this morning and my mum told me to quickly get changed and pack my favorite things in a suite case and come down stairs. Then we walked very quickly to the train station. She was acting like she wanted to get rid of me. Then she said the war has broken out and you have to go to the countryside to keep safe and i can come back when the war is over and everything is back to normal. We said goodbye and I waved goodbye and the train left…

Our day learning about world war 2

To start the day we did an evacuation lesson with Mrs Gadsby till break time. We learnt about children in World War 2 and how they got taken from there families. By the sound of it, it must have been a horrible time, we wrote a letter from the point of view as a child who was evacuated. After break we went in to Miss Marshell and learnt about rationing. Rationing is where you are given tokens to get things like meat and food. We did a few activities like crosswords, wordsearches and a rationing game and then we made shortbread and I probably wont like it because I don’t like shortbread. Then after lunch we went in to Mr Wilsons class room and leant about soldiers and about what they took into war. We wrote a poem mine was about poppies and how they show respect. Then the lesson ended and we came back into class. That was our World War 2 day.

THE PIANO

Enchantingly, a devastated, lonely old man played his ancient piano. His wrinkly fingers glided across the dusty piano. It brought back cold and dark memories from his lonely past.Suddenly he had a flash back , his wife appeared next to him ,they played for a while and then she moved her smooth silky face to his and gently kissed him on the cheek to say goodbye, and in the blink of an eye she was gone. In a world of darkness he sat playing his giant piano on his own once again, millions of memories went through his mind.

Deliberately, another memory ran through the old mans mind. In a flash like lightning he was running into the battle field with his brother the he was a medic in WWII .They hid behind a old and crumbling wall that would come down in one shot of a gun. GUNSHOTS, BLOOD, EXPLOSIONS, STOP… with a tears rolling from his eye’s to his cheeks, the old man bravely went to save his brother. By this point his brother was lying helplessly and motionless in a pool of midnight red. A stream of guilt ran through him… his brother was now dead. Why him?
WHY HIM?

When the old man returned to his piano, he yet again found a memory begging to be realized what it was, there was no turning back. He became younger and happier. He remembered himself receiving a present it was in a  white box with blue ribbon. Inside was a toy horse playing he was really happy and then…it was gone. He got older and given his grandson the riding horse.

The boy whizzed around  majestically like a rocket. the memory faded slowly and became reality, as the young boy came and sat next to his grandfather. The tune came to a slow, peaceful end and the small boy and his grandfather played the last note the end of the tune of the tune…
