I haven’t read it, but it looks like it has a nice cover.
This book is excellent and I’ve read it to numerous classes. The story follows the lives of two boys who are evacuated from London to Devon during the second world war. Morpurgo writes in a way that allows the reader to imagine being away from home and family and having to adapt to a very different way of life. He develops both characters’ back stories well and relates these to each character’s personality and the way they deal with their new surroundings. The story focusses on the how the boys cope with the dilemma resulting from their involvement in a dramatic event. In doing so the reader is kept in suspense and is made to question how they would react in such a situation. These are all ingredients of a good story! Recommended.

This is my first book review. To be honest, I haven’t read it. It was the first book I picked off the shelf to test this plugin. It does look quite good though!
