This year our school council chose to focus our fundraising on two different causes, one of which was Piam Brown Ward at Southampton Hospital. Today Rachel Funnell, Charity Fund and Events Coordinator for the Piam Brown Ward, joined us in assembly and was presented with a cheque for £2347.08 by our school council. During the assembly, the councillors shared the fundraising that has been happening over the year and revealed the total raised to the rest of the school. Rachel was very impressed and extremely grateful for all the hard work the children had done in raising such a great amount of money. She explained that the money will be used to buy new toys for the children on Piam Brown Ward, such as Lego as this is easy to wash, as well as lots of exciting trips.
